Week-Old Sparrows

March 18's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Foods that Crunch
- Foods that crunch are all the man in the book that I am reading talks about in his old form. Apparently assisted living homes don't give you crunch food. I love Captain Crunch! It's delicious!!!

2. A Week-Old Sparrow
- I think it's really cool to see a week-old bird no matter what kind it is. When we first moved into our house there were always birds that would build a nest on top of the lamps outside of our front door and then when you would walk out you could see the eggs and eventually when they hatched you could see the baby birds. It was really cool.

3. Branches with New Growth
- It means that spring is finally coming and that things won't look dead any more because there will be leaves.

4. Tiny Snails Among Blades of Grass
- I remember looking for things with a magnifying glass as a kid in the grass because you never knew what you would find among the blades of grass.

5. "Reading" Someone Correctly - I hate not being able to tell how someone is feeling and I can't always read how their feeling but when I can it makes me happy. It's also good when you can tell if a guy is a jerk or not. I hate when I make the mistake of thinking a guy is going to be nice and then turns out to be rude and a dick.

6. Making Bread Dough
- This makes me extraordinarily happy because when I was younger (and I actually still love doing this) when we went down the Bahamas we would always make Edris wait until we were up to make bread. Homemade bread is the best kind of bread that there is.

7. Cushioned Vinyl Flooring
- I just like cushioned flooring because it feels good on your feet!

8. Lightweight Backpacks
- Better than carrying something that is extremely heavy. Although it is a good workout but lightweight backpacks are good for hiking because all you really need is bug spray, a compass, sunscreen, and some water.

9. The Smell of Salt Water
- I got to smell that for a week and it was wonderful. I wish that I could live somewhere where I could smell it all of the time. It's a nice breath of fresh air.

10. Time to Reflect
- I usually use my drive home from school to reflect on what has been going on in my life because it seems to be the easiest time to think through things because there's no one there to bug me.
