How Much is That Doggie in the Window?

March 5’s 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. The Early Morning Quiet – I love waking up in my home and no one else is up, including the dog and the house is just so quiet. When I was in high school, I was always the first one up because of school and the dog would barely move because it was so early. The house was so quiet sometimes that it was eerie but I really enjoyed being able to hear myself think before my hectic day of school started.

2. Staying Busy – While I like the quiet I also like it when there are things on my mind that I don’t want to think about then staying busy keeps them off of my mind. I really enjoy when I have a busy schedule when it is fun stuff but when it is stuff that I would rather forget and not do it’s not as fun to be busy. I enjoy being busy with some school work, while other work makes want to go insane.

3. Cathedral Crenellations
– I googled this and I couldn't find anything so if anyone knows what it is please fill me in!

4. A Place that Exists Only in History Books
– There are so many places in the world that exist only in books because they have been destroyed over the years. I love imagining the places that history books depict because it is amazing to know that there was a world out there before we even existed.

5. A Dog Nose on the Window – This reminds me of the song “How Much is That Doggy in the Window.” I learned it is a child and always loved to sing it with my mom. The only problem with dog nose on the windows is that you have to clean up afterwards. They are just looking out the window because they want some loving!

6. Shadows Traveling Slowly – It is fun to watch shadows travel as the sun rises and falls because they make such interesting shapes. Shadows at night are honestly creepy and they freaked me out as a kid and sometimes they still do if the right situation arises.

7. Delivering on Promises
– It is better to keep a promise rather than just letting it go because otherwise the people you consider your friends may not trust you or if it is them keeping the promise then you may not trust them. Keeping promises is always hard but it always ends up ending in a good way.

8. Apricot-Stuffed French Toast
– While I have not tasted apricot-stuffed French toast the regular French toast that my dad makes is absolutely delectable. I love coming home for the weekend from college just to have his delicious French toast with Vermont maple syrup from my grandmother.

9. Strong Tea
– As opposed to weak tea?

10. Making Lists
– This is only as good as if you follow the lists that you make. If you don’t actually do what’s on the lists then there’s really no point to making them anyway.
