Volcano in Science

March 27's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Having Fun During a Power Failure
- In my family we light a few candles and play Michigan. It's a tradition since the power fails all of the time when we are the Bahamas and all we have to do is find a lantern or some candles and we're all set for the night.

2. Worry-Free Weekends
- I wish that I had more of those in my life but with school, being in a sorority, and having a job on campus, it makes it really hard sometimes.

3. Breathing Mindfully
- Does this mean that you are thinking about how you breath because it makes me happy when I do this in yoga because it helps to understand how to breath correctly when you are in certain poses.

4. Remaining Safe and Sane
- Honestly I think it's good to be safe but most people are truly sane because everyone is insane in their own way. It doesn't really matter how normal people try to act, they are still insane in one way or another.

5. Stargazing
- I love doing this especially if it is with someone who will snuggle up with me and just stare at the sky for hours. It just makes it seem like the world isn't around you and that there is just sky for millions of miles.

6. Art Museums
- I can't say that I am a big fan of walking around and looking at art work but there are some people who can understand what the message is that the artist is trying to get across, which I think is really cool. I enjoy looking at the paintings and drawings but as soon as someone ask me to interpret what they mean I'm out of there.

7. Running in the Rain
- And stepping in puddles along the way. I'm a huge fan of puddle stumping. I ran out in the rain in a white shirt once...it randomly rained...all I have to say is BIG mistake....HUGE!

8. Nighttime
- It's just so more peaceful than the daytime when people are seriously freaking out about everything around them. While there are people who never sleep I love nighttime because it's a chance to relax and let everything that has happened that day to mellow in your mind.

9. Fizzy Science Experiments
- Does anyone remember making volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar when you were younger. I played with that for hours in my best friend's kitchen sink. I think his mom got annoyed but I don't think that we really cared at that point. It will be nice to have kids to pass that little fun thing along to one day.

10. Selfless Love
- You put your heart into and it might just get broken...while heartbreak hurts the best relationships come from selfless love.

Chef's Whites

March 26's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Peaceful Horseback Riding
- Just riding through the woods around Chester Springs is always a lot of fun. I always loved getting out of the ring and into the woods to take some sort of adventure. I feel that being in the ring gets boring and repetitive and while I know that it is to get the form down I still don't like doing it day after day after day.

2. Spotless Chef's Whites
- I love when they have those huge hats on their heads because they make me giggle.

3. A Famous Friends
- I can't say that I have a friend that is famous but I think that it would be really cool to know someone that was famous. I do know someone who is on the road to becoming a famous baseball player however.

4. Taking the Long Way Home
- I love taking the long way home when I have things to think about in my life. I also think that if I'm angry about something and am heading home it gives me time to cool off in case that you are either mad at someone at home or so that you can cool down so that you do not freak out at someone.

5. The Promise of April
- Honestly it needs to come sooner so that it will be warm outside because I'm sick of this cold weather. It's nice during the day but at night and in the morning it's too freakin' cold.

6. Dairy Queen Reopening
- The ones in our area never close so this really isn't a big concern for me. Although I love when summer comes and going to Dairy Queen actually makes sense rather than going to get ice cream when it's freezing out. A question to think about though, why do they sell hamburgers at an ice cream parlor?!?!?!?!?!?

7. The Mound Builders
- Who builds mounds?

8. Baked Stuffed Peppers
- I feel that this sounds delicious because there are two different cooking terms in the same name. Yum Yum!

9. Throwing a Pot
- If I'm throwing it at the people I don't like then I'm game. Two points if I hit their heads!

10. Meatballs with Your Pasta
- As I don't like meatballs this doesn't really make me happy but most people think of spaghetti as having meatballs on top. It also reminds me of a girl scout song about a meatball which I can't remember the words too.

Fast-Food Orders

March 25's Things to Be Happy About

1. The Village Bar - Because every village needs to have one in order for the bum to get drunk!

2. Books Full of Research
- If you want to learn something knowing how to read is good in order to read these books with research in them. Also these books are good for writing long reports for school. I had to write one for my math class which was not really fun but it was good to know that our library actually had resources that could be used to write a paper like that.

3. Checks that Really are in the Mail
- Better to be there rather than sitting on someone's desk. I would rather actually have them to the person that they are due to rather than even in the mail because you never know where the mail could end up.

4. Fresh-Smelling Rooms
- I love when I first put my brand new scent of my scent bug. It is truly a wonderful smell and I love the smell when you walk into a room and taking a deep breath when it smells good.

5. Where You'll Be in 20 Years
- I have absolutely no idea...hopefully teaching in a good school district and have a husband a few kids...that's as much as I've got currently.

6. Setting Up the Fireplace
- I love the fireplace in the winter time and sitting near it to stay warm. Curling up in a blanket by the fireplace and reading a book is one of my favorite things to do.

7. Cut-Up Celery
- I'd rather have it cut up than eating it whole, which stinks.

8. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - As soon as I saw this I ran downstairs to show one of my housemates because she loves Harry Potter. Just watching her face light up when she read it was absolutely hilarious! I love making other people smile which is why every time I see something that someone I know would be happy about I go and tell them about it. Hogwarts also makes me happy because I love the Harry Potter series!

9. L.L. Bean Kayaks
- Is there a difference between them and any other sort of kayaks? I mean it's an honest question.

10. Remembering the Entire Fast-Food Order - Well if you go to fast-food restaurants often enough I'm sure that you will remember what you order each time you go. If you can order by heart then you've been there too much in my opinion. Go home and have a real meal...it's better for you even though it takes a while to prepare.

Dreaming with a Broken Heart

March 24's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Unused Paint - If it's unused that there's not that crusty stuff that most people leave when they use paint. It makes me angry! Also it means that you have more to use later if you don't finish it then.

2. Mending a Broken Heart
- While I know that it is possible, it is very hard and watching someone go through that, or even going through it myself has been very hard. Even recently I've watched my friend deal with her broken heart and it's very sad and I hope that it gets better soon.

3. Colonial Architecture
- Honestly the things that are built these days are absolutely horrendous and I feel like they are built to fail after a couple of years so that people who build it can make more money off of you later. I think that Colonial Architecture was built to last forever so that they would not have to constantly invest more money in it.

4. Rain Instead of Snow
- It means that Spring is coming and it is going to start to get warmer. The only problem with rain is that it gets you soaking wet and it's usually cold when the season are changing.

5. Secret Stashes of Candy
- When I was in camp in high school they wouldn't allow us to have candy so a lot of girl would stash it in the bottom of their trunks so that the camp counselors wouldn't see or find it. I remember when we used to trade candy bars and just sat around having fun eating it and the thrill of trying not to get caught.

6. Rushing Brooks
- This is just a peaceful sound to listen to. I love sitting beside streams and listening to trickling past.

7. A Joke Repeated
- If you don't get it the first time, why not repeat it? It's always fun to hear a joke that you haven't heard in a long time as well.

8. Writing Your Philosophy
- My philosophy is just let me live my life and don't give me your opinion on something unless I ask for it. For example, my relationship is none of your business unless I ask for you advice or opinion. Some people just don't get that.

9. Planned Cities
- I don't really think any city is planned. I think they just pop up where people move to and enjoy being there.

10. The Word "Kerfuffle"
- Ok so I looked it up in the dictionary and it is a word. The definition is 'a commotion or fuss'. Personally I just think that this makes sense for the word. It also made me giggle when I read the word.

Not the Gumdrop Buttons!

March 23's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. A Matinee on a Rainy Day - Now the only question is what kind of matinee would you go to. Since the city is very far away I would probably go to the movies and see whatever movie looked the most interesting to me. I really like seeing musical matinees better though.

2. Licking the Sugar off Gumdrops - Right after reading this I immediately thought of Shrek and started giggling. I love the gingerbread man! He is my favorite part of that movie. I honestly can say that I cannot remember the last time I had a gumdrop of any sort. Do they actually taste as good as people claim they do?

3. Handwoven Trivets
- These are the sort of things that you put under hot food to make sure that you don't burn holes in the table or a table cloth. It's really pretty when you make them yourself. I actually used to have a little project thing that I could make them with.

4. Others Helping You
- Better than doing everything by yourself. I know that when I have help doing something, especially if it is a friend helping me, the thing that I need to get done gets done faster and is a little more fun if it's something boring. I always hated raking leaves with my sister though because she just complained about doing it and I ended up doing it by myself. Oh well it was fun to have her there with me.

5. Bein' Slaphappy - You're knee slapping happy? I honestly don't even know what this means.

6. Appropriateness
- I think that it is always better to be appropriate than messing things up and going about them the wrong way. I'm not always appropriate and I will fully admit that because it is one of my faults.

7. Multicolored Sweaters - Better than having sweaters that are just black and white right?

8. Your New Glasses - After you get new pair most people feel that they have the new and hip looks.

9. A Vegetarian Entree
- If you are a vegetarian then this is something that should make you happy. I actually enjoy most of the vegetarian meals. People should be more willing to try them instead of just pushing them off and judging what they taste like.

10. Messy Morning Hair
- It's fun to try and get it to calm down and look wonderful. It's really hard.

Library Cards

March 22's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Bananas with Milk and Sugar - I love bananas cut up into frosted flakes but I've never had bananas with just milk and sugar. I feel like that they are almost the same thing.

2. A Balcony
- I love standing on these and enjoying a cool spring breeze. At school since I don't have on I replace it by sitting on the roof over the patios outside of my window and watch people practice their sports. It's quite nice actually.

3. Finishing off the Leftovers
- This is my grandfather's favorite meal because there are always so many choices and he liked a little of everything. It makes me smile. It actually makes me sad when I finish up some of my leftovers because they are my favorite meals being finished sadly.

4. The Comfort of Hot Liquid on a Cold Day - Hot chocolate is the best medicine for any cold day. It warms you up from the inside out. I actually had some the other day and it felt wonderful sliding down my throat and warmed my stomach since it was freezing outside.

5. Old-Fashioned Carousels - These are pretty cool I have to say because of the band that functions inside of the carousel. I think that it is really cool how they can get a band to function with machinery. It's really amazing how much technology goes into and these have been in use for many years.

6. Using Your Library Card More Than Your Credit Card - I think that this is a true statement for me in the summer because I barely use my credit card because I can go to the library book and borrow almost any book I want for free. I think that this is really nice because all I do doing the summer is read, work, and relax. It's a wonderful cycle.

7. Rotisserie Chicken - I like almost any kind of chicken so this sounds pretty good to me. They make it at school a lot. They have a huge rotisserie oven behind one of the sections of food.

8. Spectral Quiet - I feel like quiet has shown up too many times in my calendar recently. But quiet is nice depending on what situation in you are in.

9. A Raccoon Climbing a Tree - I honestly didn't know that raccoons could climb trees. I'm sure that this would be something fun to experience since I've never seen it before. You see and or learn something new every day.

10. Practicing Basketball Before School - I honestly am awful at basketball so maybe I should practice before school and that would help me fix up my skill at it.

Quiet Drives

March 21's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Strolling - Who doesn't love taking a nice stroll? I know that I will always remember taking strolls with my grandfather throughout my childhood until the winter before he died. He always loved going for strolls with the dog.

2. Eating More Dinners In - I like eating dinners in my house rather than going out because I feel like you always have to wait longer to get food if you go out. I really enjoy cooking for myself as well.

3. The New Mexico Skyline - What's there to be happy about? Is there nothing there because there aren't many cities in Mexico? I honestly don't know what to be thrilled about unless it's nothing there and no light pollution in which case that would make me happy because I would be able to see the stars.

4. Hot French Rolls - My mouth is watering just thinking about this.

5. Becoming a Lamaze Coach
- I just googled this and it's pretty much the person who coaches pregnant women to push the babies out of them. I don't know if this would make me happy to be it because I'm squeamish however I would be happy to have one when I do have children.

6. Bring Joy With You
- I'm a very upbeat person so I feel that there is always joy around me. I'd rather bring joy than negativity like some people. It drives me nuts because I feel that they just bring me down and I want to make people happy and joyful rather than being grumpy about everything in life.

7. A Choice of Salad Dressings - I like to have a choice in my life and a choice of salad dressings instead of being saddled with only one is wonderful.

8. Reading a Chapter a Day
- I wish I had that opportunity more often but with school it makes it very hard. Oh well I read when I have the chance and usually when I do that I read half of a book but that works too.

9. Quiet Drives - These are wonderful because watching the scenery pass and thinking in the quiet is a good thing. I feel that I can always get things checked off in my mind that I needed the time to think about but didn't have it. I love my quiet drive from school to home because it's enough time to work out everything on my mind.

10. Activities You Find Revitalizing - Playing the piano, singing, writing in my journal, and doing this blog helps me to feel better revitalize.

Wax

March 20's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Churned Butter - Ok, curiosity question. Isn't all butter churned?

2. Pinking Shears - Well I guess these are a good thing if you like to garden. I stink at it and my extent of gardening is once a year when I offer to help my mommy help plant her pretty impatients.

3. Initials Carved in a Tree - Now this is something that you barely see these days. I feel that people don't do cute romantic things because they're too addicted to the internet. It's honestly a sad concept. It always makes me smile when I see initials written in a tree though.

4. Every Possibility - What people don't realize is that there are more than one possibility to every situation. The world would probably be a better place if more people realized that there are other possibilities.

5. Stocking the Pantry
- When I do this it makes me happy to know that I have lots of ingredients to do some baking or cooking. I love when the kitchen smells good because of something freshly baked or cooked. Walking into the kitchen after something has been cooking or baking is a wonderful feeling and it all comes from the ingredients in the pantry. Stocking the pantry also means lots of snacks!

6. When the Worst Player Scores - This makes me happy to know that there is the likeliness of something along these lines happening. I think that people need to have faith in even people who are really bad in something because you never know when they could surprise you.

7. Cashmere
- This kind of fabric is just so soft! It just has that nice texture that everyone likes to touch.

8. The Scent of Wax
- If it's the stuff that smells good because it's a Yankee or Bath and Body Works scented candle then I'm all for it. I really like anything that is scented or smells good. We're not allowed to burn candles at school sadly though.

9. The Music of a Lagoon
- Honestly there are so many noises come from a lagoon whether it be in the middle of the day or late at night. The different birds that are around the boats that come in and out. The small waves lapping against the shoreline. It is an amazing sight to behold.

10. Chinese Paper Lanterns
- We actually have some of those in our room. I love them in general though. They are pretty during different seasons, especially the winter with the snow falling around them. There are so many different kinds as well which makes it that much cooler.

Good Seats at the Movies

March 19's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. A Monthly Breakfast Date - I like having breakfast with people every once in a while no matter whether it's monthly or weekly. I like doing it more often than monthly because then I get to see a lot of people.

2. The First Rays of Hope - There is hope in every situation and realizing that is the first step in figuring out something.

3. Gravitational Force - There is gravity on the earth and it keeps us here but it can't keep us here mentally. I think that a gravitational force also exists between people when they are meant for each other. Maybe that's me being a sap but when something is meant to be there is definitely a pull whether people like it or not.

4. Good Seats at Cinema Multiplexes - I don't know if this means getting a good view or if they have comfortable seats. I think in both cases I would be happy if I got them at the same time. I love comfortable chairs that can lean back somewhere in the middle of the theater not too high but not too close to the screen either. Those are the best seats!

5. Firsthand "Scoop" - I don't really like gossip but if I were to listen to it, I'd rather have it from someone who was there or the person who was actually involved in whatever altercation happened. It's no good when it's gone through a few people because then the story changes.

6. Geologists Dating Rocks
- When I first read this one I thought that it meant like they were going on dates with the rocks but then I realized they are trying to figure out when the rocks were either made or what era they come from.

7. Porch Conversations - I love sitting out on the porch and just talking about random stuff. It's comfortable just to sit and relax on a porch rather than sitting inside on a beautiful day.

8. Penobscot Bay in Maine - I love bays so I guess that I would like to go to a place in Maine. I haven't been up to Maine in years but I am hoping to go visit my best friend this summer.

9. Baby Name Haggling - I have yet to experience this because I've never had a child but I look forward to the experience. I think that trying to figure out a baby's name would be fun, choosing a name for either sex. If you choose not to know what sex the baby is, it makes it so much more fun because you get to choose two names. I think that it's funny when babies leave the hospital nameless, which is apparently not allowed any more. Who knows.

10. A Pretty Keepsake - I love looking for shells and putting them up for decoration around the house or my room. My great grandmother used to have a sand dollar tree for her pretty sand dollars.

Week-Old Sparrows

March 18's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Foods that Crunch
- Foods that crunch are all the man in the book that I am reading talks about in his old form. Apparently assisted living homes don't give you crunch food. I love Captain Crunch! It's delicious!!!

2. A Week-Old Sparrow
- I think it's really cool to see a week-old bird no matter what kind it is. When we first moved into our house there were always birds that would build a nest on top of the lamps outside of our front door and then when you would walk out you could see the eggs and eventually when they hatched you could see the baby birds. It was really cool.

3. Branches with New Growth
- It means that spring is finally coming and that things won't look dead any more because there will be leaves.

4. Tiny Snails Among Blades of Grass
- I remember looking for things with a magnifying glass as a kid in the grass because you never knew what you would find among the blades of grass.

5. "Reading" Someone Correctly - I hate not being able to tell how someone is feeling and I can't always read how their feeling but when I can it makes me happy. It's also good when you can tell if a guy is a jerk or not. I hate when I make the mistake of thinking a guy is going to be nice and then turns out to be rude and a dick.

6. Making Bread Dough
- This makes me extraordinarily happy because when I was younger (and I actually still love doing this) when we went down the Bahamas we would always make Edris wait until we were up to make bread. Homemade bread is the best kind of bread that there is.

7. Cushioned Vinyl Flooring
- I just like cushioned flooring because it feels good on your feet!

8. Lightweight Backpacks
- Better than carrying something that is extremely heavy. Although it is a good workout but lightweight backpacks are good for hiking because all you really need is bug spray, a compass, sunscreen, and some water.

9. The Smell of Salt Water
- I got to smell that for a week and it was wonderful. I wish that I could live somewhere where I could smell it all of the time. It's a nice breath of fresh air.

10. Time to Reflect
- I usually use my drive home from school to reflect on what has been going on in my life because it seems to be the easiest time to think through things because there's no one there to bug me.

Drinks on Me

March 17's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Irish Pubs - I have never been to one but I've heard that they are very interesting. I want to go to one just for the experience because I'm sure that it would make me happy.

2. Experimenting with Color
- I'm not the best artist in the world but whenever I do paint it's really fun to mix colors and making something look pretty.

3. A Nest in the Woodshed - I love nests no matter where they end up because it's really cool to see what comes out of them. My grandfather's woodshed in Vermont always had a nest on it somewhere.

4. Podcasting
- I have to say that I don't really enjoy this because I had to do a podcast for one of my classes and I didn't really understand how the program worked and it made me entirely too frustrated.

5. An Ocean Voyage - I love going out on the ocean and usually it's not a voyage, I'm out long enough to catch some fish and come back in later in the afternoon. I have been on two cruises though and they were a lot of fun. We went to Bermuda on one and then we went to Greece on another. I loved learning about the history of Greece. It was amazing!

6. Shouting "Drinks Are on Me!" - I think that it's better when someone else shouts it because then you end up getting free drinks. Maybe yelling it would be fun as well because then you get to treat others and feel good about yourself and how nice you are.

7. Kelly Green - Is this some sort of color in a crayon box because if it is I'm all for it!

8. Stuffed Mushrooms
- What are they stuffed with? I don't really like mushrooms so this isn't really my thing to be happy about.

9. Morning Deejays - The people who play on the radio in the morning talk to much and it annoys me. I turn on the radio to listen to music not people talking. I like 104.5 because they don't talk they just play music and they actually make fun of the other stations that talk in the mornings.

10. Inchworms
- Umm...EWWWWW!!!!

Diamonds Scattering Light

March 16's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Breadsticks
- These are wonderful with any kind of pasta. I love them when they're are soft rather than when they are hard like in the cafe most of the time. If they are warmed up that's a plus too. Olive Garden makes really good breadsticks!

2. The Zen of Dishwashing
- I love washing dishes because it makes me feel so relaxed and the water running over my hands feels really good. I love that feeling especially when it is cold out.

3. Rearranging a Room - When I was younger I would move my furniture around in my room all the time because I did not like it when my room was the same way for too long. Ever I moved into my new house and gotten my sister's old bunk beds it's really hard to rearrange the room because they are heavy.

4. A Magic 8 Ball's Answers - It's always good when they give you the answer you want but if it's not the answer you want it makes you feel sad. The answer to the question is only good the first time. If you continually ask the question so that you get the answer you want it kind of defeats the purpose.

5. Maintaining Your Own Style - I know that I have my own style of dressing and acting and it's not like everyone else's and I enjoy being the one who's different. People judge me for what I wear and how I act and I say fuck them. Everyone is different and weird in their own way and judging them makes you an asshole!

6. Pretty Purple Grapes - I love these especially when they are chilled. I love the way that they crunch in your mouth and the juice runs down your throat! I am really good at throwing them up in the air and catching them in my mouth as well. They boys that I used to work with would always attempt to throw them down my shirt which always made me laugh.

7. Diamonds Scattering Light - Light reflecting off of diamonds is always a sight to behold. I think that it's really cool to see the reflection on the walls when the sunlight hits a diamond.

8. Flying Kites - Let's go fly a kite. This will always remind me of the Mary Poppins movie that I loved so much as a kid. I really want to go see the musical on Broadway eventually. When I was younger we would go fly kites in my grandparents yard because they have a huge front yard perfect for kite flying.

9. Ducks on Parade
- Watching ducks when the ducklings are just born is adorable. I remember a book from when I was little where a police officer helped the ducks and ducklings cross the road. I love how they always walk in a line...it's adorable. Last year when playing mini golf there were ducklings swimming in the pond next to us and little kids were trying to pet them. Ducks are very protective and I think that it's really funny to watch.

10. Refrigerator Magnets
- My best friend found a really cute froggy magnet over the summer and brought it back for my fridge at school and it makes me smile.

Pokerface

March 15's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Bluffing at Poker - I cannot do this because if I have a good hand I always smile so people would be able to tell if my hand was bad because I wouldn't smile. For those who can kudos!

2. Gallivanting - Where are we gallivanting to? Somewhere fun I hope!

3. Varietal Honeys - I like all kinds of different honeys and I'm always willing to try something new because it makes life more interesting.

4. Sangria and Taco Salad - Alcohol and Mexican food...can't get much better than that. Sangria is a very good drink but I wouldn't say that it's my favorite. I'd rather have Margaritas with my taco salad because mom has a really good recipe for them and it is my favorite drink! I love being 21!

5. Mulling Spices - Spices smell wonderful and they make food taste better. They make me happy because of these things.

6. Indulging in a Whopper - Burger King is gross and Whoppers just look fake even in the commercials.

7. Hope Chests - Are these things that you hope for in your life or something along those lines? I think I made one of those in elementary.

8. Jumbo Eggs - Because who wants regular sized eggs. It means you don't have to use three regular sized eggs to make scrambled eggs and they usually cost less in the long run.

9. Your Garage-Sale Collection - Everyone has garage collection that they want to give up at a sale.

10. Clouds Chasing Each Other
- This is always fun because the earth is turning and it looks like the clouds are chasing each other when in reality the world is turning. I love look at the clouds and seeing shapes in them. When I was in the Bahamas we would sit on the boat and figure out what clouds looked like.

Best Friends :)

March 14's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Carrots Sauteed in Butter - Almost anything in butter is good.

2. Pepperoni - I like pepperoni by itself but I hate it on pizza. I think that pizza is better without toppings. Pepperoni has a unique taste though.

3. Stone Walls - I feel that these are becoming more and more rare because people don't build them anymore because it is too much work. Also, they would rather put up a fence or use wood to make the walls of their home depending on which way you look at it.

4. A Paper Towel Tube
- These make me happy because they make a good toy for my dog to chew on and if she's happy I'm happy. I really miss her now that I'm back at school.

5. Sitting Next to Your Best Friend
- Who doesn't want to sit by their best friend? I know that I enjoy sitting next to mine because it makes boring things go by so much faster. I also love spending time with my best friend because they entertain me when I'm bored. The picture at the top is a good example of a good time with a best friend :)

6. Silent Joy - It's nice every once in a while to celebrate things in silence because it makes you feel good without having to explain it to others. I have a hard time keeping joyous things to myself though.

7. Dipping Cherries in Chocolate - I'd rather dip strawberries in chocolate but I can't say that I've had cherries dipped in chocolate before so I can't say that I like it better or worse than strawberries. Oh well trying new things is part of life because then you learn what you do or don't like.

8. Dawn in Athens
- I haven't been in Athens for dawn but Athens any time of day is really an amazing city because of all of the amazing history that is within the city.

9. The Good China
- It is always good to pull the good stuff out on special occasions. For example, for holidays we pull out the good china and silver out because it makes the special occasion that much more special.

10. Varnished Hardwood Floor
- These are pretty to look at as you walk through a room but make sure not to wear socks like I did once. I slipped into a wall and hit my head pretty hard. It's a wonder I didn't get a concussion. I'm just that cool! My sister and mom thought it was pretty funny. I'm glad that I can make people laugh with my clumsiness.

Jell-O

March 13's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Helping a Neighbor - Other than farmville, actually helping a neighbor in reality you should feel like a good Samaritan when you do. Whenever I get the chance to help neighbors it makes me feel like a good person because I've done my good deed of the day and my hopes are that they pass it on and help someone else.

2. A Great Housekeeper - It's nice to have one of these because they keep the house nice and tidy. Ours only cleans the sheets, vacuums, and dusts but it's nice to come home to a house that smells like cleaning products. When I was growing up that was one of my favorite scents.

3. Lettuce Under the Jell-O - Why would anyone put lettuce under Jell-O?

4. Riding a Moped - The last time I tried to ride one of these they wouldn't let my dad rent one because he didn't have a certain license. We were in Greece so I thought it was a little ridiculous.

5. A Powdering of Stars - When there is no light pollution it is always a wonderful time looking at the sky. While I was in the Bahamas you could look at the sky and see so many stars unlike when I came back to the States where there is so much light pollution because of all of the chain stores and malls.

6. Kind Words - Better than mean and rude words! Am I right?

7. Opening a Bag of Coffee Beans
- I could just sit and smell these forever because I love the smell of coffee. I think that this would make my day!

8. The Captain at the Helm - He should always be there because he needs to make sure that the boat is going in the correct direction. Also the saying goes the captain always goes down with his ship!

9. Cool Socks - There are so many varieties of socks that you never know which ones are the coolest. Personally, I think toe socks are pretty awesome!

10. Using a Foreign Accent for a Day - When I was younger I used to annoy my sister so much by using a British accent when I would read out of my textbooks or just books that I was reading at that time. I forgot about that until I read this!

Notebooks

March 12's 10 Things To be Happy About

1. Exciting Basketball Games - I didn't realize that they are exciting until you get to the finals or playoffs. I don't know why but basketball has never excited me.

2. The Patterns of Ocean Currents - There is one point on the island that we go to on the Bahamas where if you stand there then you can feel two different currents rushing over your feet. The actual map of all of the different currents all over the world is actually pretty cool. I found this picture on google.

3. Complimentary Items - These are becoming more and more scarce because hotels and other places that used to have complimentary items are getting cheap because they don't want to waste money that is 'unnecessary'. When you do get complimentary items it is always nice to know that those people did not cheap out on you though.

4. A Well-Used Notebook - I think that this makes me happy because then I know that I've taken lots of notes or used the notebook to the best of it's ability. I usually keep my notes for my math and education classes so it's nice to know that I've used that notebook.

5. Milk's Simplicity - My cousin was just complaining about how milk doesn't have any taste and it is just gross. Personally I drink milk with almost all of my meals and I love the bland taste because it goes with almost all of my meals and doesn't make the meals taste weird, like some other drinks do.

6. A Day Without Excuses
- Honestly people who have excuses for everything that they don't do or mess up on really annoy me. If you did it right the first time or at all then we wouldn't be having this problem would we? I understand that people make mistakes but when you don't even try and try to talk your way out of it, it makes you look just dumb!

7. Letting Go of a Struggle - Instead of making a big deal out of it try to just let it go and it will take a huge weight off of your shoulders.

8. A Very Happy Birthday - I love when you feel like your birthdays go very well. A day like this would include getting to see my friends and also getting a wonderfully homecooked meal including fajitas from my family. I don't care about the presents just about the people surrounding me when I have my birthday.

9. Music that Fits Your Mood
- I honestly have different playlists for my different moods because I don't want to have to go through and individually choose songs in order to fit my mood. Choosing the songs ahead of time just makes life so much easier. I can put the playlist on and be finished with it.

10. Setting the Clocks Ahead - I'm not too happy about this because I'm losing sleep but then again it means that even with the colder weather the sun lies on the tennis courts a little longer meaning that we have the warmth of the sun to make us feel a little better.

Running a 5K?

March 11's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. The Wish of Being Stranded on a Desert Island
- If it is in a tropical climate then I'm all for it as long as I can bring along my iPod and some bug spray because apparently bugs really like to eat me. If you were deserted on a desert island what are the two things you would bring?

2. Lobster Bibs - Having one of these when you eat lobster is a wonderful safety net because otherwise the butter dripping off of your chin into your lap. The bib will save you from a major mess to clean up later because it's disposable.

3. Ham Salad on White Bread - I can't say that I've ever had a ham salad and I'm more of a fan of wheat bread because it's so much more healthy for you.

4. Running a 5K
- Just one comment...why would this make anyone happy??? Except for those people who run for a sport, who I actually think are nuts! I guess if you got a time on the 5K then it could make you happy but I would never enjoy it or get a good time on it so it doesn't really matter either way.

5. Rocks Eroded by Rivers
- The fact that rivers and oceans have the power and ability to erode rocks and make amazing designs is really awesome. The picture at the beginning of this post is a great example of how the waves of the ocean have eroded this rock into the amazing sculpture that it is now and it is preserved because this beach is untouched by developers.

6. Telling Your Best Joke - I honestly don't have many amazing jokes that leave you with a side stitch because you laughed so hard but I do enjoy hearing other people's funny jokes so that I can laugh. Laughing is good for the soul and it helps you to live longer.

7. Family Fun Night
- Every night with my family is family fun night because we love spending time together. It is also nice to spend time with my boyfriend's family because they are fun as well. Some of the conversation we have when spending time together are truly entertaining whether it be with his family or my own. I'm just glad that I enjoy spending time with my family because I know people who hate spending time with their families!

8. Learning an Interesting Fact
- People are supposed to learn something new everyday so actually learning something that interests them is even better. I try to learn something new everyday and still being in school helps to make that a little easier. Also being a teacher as a profession I will hopefully help to learn some new teaching techniques as I go through the profession.

9. Pulling the Curtains Open
- Pulling them open to reveal warm sunshine is always a wonderful sensation. But if you open them to rain it's a little more sad.

10. What You Pray For
- Everyone has something different to pray for whether it be a new bicycle or a family member or friend to feel better. Praying is also good for the soul.

Comfy Clothes

March 10's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Baked Bananas - I've gotten mixed reviews on this one. My boyfriend has told me that they are quite good but I honestly think that they sound disgusting. Oh well I may have to try and find a recipe and try it for myself so that I can judge it for myself.

2. Slipping into Comfortable Clothes - I'd rather be in comfortable clothes instead of uncomfortable clothes and after a long day of work and school comfortable clothes are a nice treat. Sweatpants and a tshirt are a wonderful mix!

3. Exploring a New Way of Life - There are so many different ways to live your life and I think changing it up a bit every once in a while is a wonderful thing. Exploring a new way of life is always a great adventure.

4. Analyzing Artifacts - While I don't think that this would make me happy for those archeologists out there this would make them ecstatic along with history buffs.

5. Trivia for Foodies - WTF? Are foodies like trekkies except for food instead of Star Trek? Trivia about different ways to cook and serve food maybe.

6. Counting Sheep - When you can't sleep this is always an option. I would rather do this before taking a sleeping aid or Tylenol. I haven't counted sheep recently though because I've been so exhausted.

7. The Word "Maybe" - I honestly highly dislike this word because it's never a definite answers. While maybe is a good word if one is debating about something it is not a true answer to any yes or no question being asked of people.

8. Music Taking You By Surprise - I don't know much music that can take me by surprise unless it's talking about someone blasting it and scaring the crap out of me but I really don't know.

9. Cinderella After Midnight - You can't judge a book by it's a cover. The real Cinderella is the better one with the same personality that the prince falls in love with. Judging a book by it's cover can almost never have a good outcome because you never know what kind of trap you could fall into.

10. Looking Up How a Word is Spelled - Well I'd rather look it up instead of spelling it wrong which happens a lot because of my typos. So actually knowing how to spell a word right is always a good thing.

Chocolate Chemistry

March 9th's 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Coffee Machine Noises - This is a wonderful noise when it's early and you're not quite awake because you know that your coffee is almost ready when it starts dripping into the pot. I love coffee with other things mixed into it. I'm not a big fan of coffee black.

2. Dixie Cups
- These are nice because when you want just a very small glass of water to take your drugs or rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth it makes life a little easier because you don't have to waste a regular sized cup. They also remind me of going to the Dentist's office.

3. Setter Dogs - This breed of dogs has very long hair and it makes them look like a mop as my grandfather would say.

4. The Chemistry of Chocolate - It makes girls feel better after almost any tragic event. Plus if you live in the wizarding world then it will help you feel better after a dementor attack!

5. A Pillowed Recliner - My only response to this is why wouldn't a recliner be pillowed?

6. A Waiting Elevator - I love when someone holds the elevator so that I don't have to wait for it myself. I'm not usually lazy but when I'm in a hurry it's always nice to have the elevator waiting rather than waiting forever for it to arrive.

7. A Fireplace Crafted of Stones
- This is my dad's favorite part of the house in the Poconos is the fact that it is made completely out of stone. It is a work of art almost just in the fact that they could get all of the rocks to fit together well.

8. The Front of a Horse or Dragon Costume - Why would this make people happy, because they wouldn't have to be the butt of the costume? And they won't have to sniff the butt of the person in front of them if they aren't the head?

9. Glassy Glaciers - The ones where you can see your reflection in are usually the most amazing because you can see into the glacier as well and see how it's formed and how years ago it was smaller than it is now.

10. Chess Game-Like Silence
- I am honestly horrible at chess but the concentration level for it is a concentration that I have for other things such as math.

The Art of Photography

March 8’s 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. A Day Free from Nail Biting – I don’t chew my nails that often but when I do I feel guilty about it because I know that it is not good for my teeth. Most of my days are free until one of my nails breaks and I don’t carry around a nail file and I hate when my nails are uneven so I bite them.

2. The Thread of a Story
– It amazes me how talented authors are that they can weave an amazing story and connect all of the loose ends by the end of a book. I like many authors especially when they have many books. My favorite author is Meg Cabot because she makes these circles and the characters go through things you never expect.

3. Halftones in Photography
– There are so many things that they can do to pictures these days with special effects. I really enjoy looking at photos that people have used special effects on.

4. Detailed Fine Woodwork
– My boyfriend does amazing woodwork and it’s always has a lot of details incorporated in it. My dad also does fine and detailed woodwork because he went to college for it. It is amazing what he can create out of a piece of wood. My grandfather was a carver and could turn a hunk of wood into an amazing carving.

5. A Basement Laboratory – This just reminds me of Flubber and his lab in the basement and Weebo flying around.

6. A Poem that Pulls You In – There aren’t many of these but I read an epic poem at the beginning of the semester for my Literary class and really enjoyed it but the rest of the poems that I’ve read this semester haven’t really pulled me in.

7. Flowing Clothes
– I love wearing clothes that flow because they are so appealing in the way that they flow in the wind. The wrap that I got in the Bahamas is a very flowy fabric and I enjoy the way the wind blows it around my body.

8. An Afternoon at the Library
– Usually an afternoon at the library for me means that I have a lot of work to do but it’s usually so peaceful there so it’s nice along with being annoying.

9. Snug Hats – Wonderful on cold winter days because your head is where you lose a lot of your body heat if it is not covered.

10. A Bag of M&M’s All to Yourself – While I do not enjoy M&M’s I know a bunch of people who would be thrilled to have a bag all to themselves!

Woody Allen

March 7’s 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Eating Lunch in the Park – A picnic lunch is always a fun thing to do. I haven’t eaten lunch in a park in a long time but in the summer when my boyfriend has full days of work I get him lunch from Wawa and we picnic in the Home Depot parking lot. I don’t know if that counts but it is so much fun.

2. Land Still Unconquered – I don’t know if this is referring to a country claiming land or if the land has been taken over by the development tycoons but either way unconquered land is precious and becoming more and more scarce. I think that people need to realize that there is plenty of housing already built but people don’t care to utilize that they just need what is newer which is ridiculous.

3. Political Consciousness – I am not personally politically aware because I think that politics have gotten more and more ridiculous over the years but kudos to those who are. The media pretty much twists everything that people learn about political leaders so I see no point in actually learning about them.

4. The Middle Path
– There are always many doors to a situation and getting out of a tight spot and some may be terrifying but there is always another option that is more worth taking and people like to find those paths so that nothing bad that can come out of a situation.

5. Talking to the Cats – Anyone who talks to cats are considered insane but I enjoy talking to cats because some of them talk back including my grandmother’s cat, Gingersnap. If you ask him a question he will more than likely respond to you as if you can understand him and it’s absolutely adorable.

6. Lacing Up New Sneakers – I love getting new sneakers, especially if they are tennis sneakers because they are that pretty white that I enjoy so much. I love the smell of new sneakers as well. The lacing them up makes me excited because I know that I am headed out to do something fun.

7. A Fisherman’s Sweater
– These are just nice and comfy and I wish that I actually owned one. I've seen other people wear them and I really want one for myself.

8. Fluffing Up the Pillows – The fluffier the better! I love when my pillows are fluffed up because then if I don’t have my stuffed animal then I have something to snuggle. Plus if they are fluffed up I fall asleep faster.

9. The Art of Sumi-e – This Japanese art is gorgeous to look at and I wish that more people knew how to make beautiful paintings like these.

10. A New Movie by Woody Allen
– I have never seen any of his movies so I really can’t write much about this subject.

Sunday Afternoons

March 6’s 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Petting a Giant Tortoise – Who doesn’t want to pet a giant tortoise? Their shells are pretty cool looking and they are not harmful creatures because they move slowly.

2. Waffles with Hot Maple Syrup
– I have to say that I make really good waffles and if the maple syrup isn’t the fake stuff that you buy at the grocery store but instead from an actual maple tree farm then they are absolutely delicious. Fake syrup is honestly disgusting!

3. Lackadaisical Sunday Afternoons – Having an afternoon like this is always wonderful but I don’t have them very often at school because I usually spend the entire day doing the homework that I put off all weekend because I was too busy doing other things.

4. Laying it on With a Trowel – I know that my mom really enjoys using her trowel in order to plant her flowers in the spring and they always make our gardens look amazing.

5. Unexpected Avenues – I love when unexpected things come up in my life, unless they are unhappy unexpected things that come up. When happy things show up in my life it makes me really excited and I always wonder when unexpected avenues will happen in my life.

6. Driving Happy
– No one should be driving when they are upset or sad because it can cause problems and make it more likely that one could encounter an accident. I love driving when I’m happy because it helps me to relax more.

7. A Big, Bright Moon – I remember when I was younger, when there was a full moon my sister’s friend and I would go outside and howl when we were together. I also think that people are crazier and stressed when there is a full moon. It is a gorgeous sight when is coming up on the horizon though.

8. Roping in Restlessness
– Because you know that it’s almost over. I know that during exams I feel very restless and I just want to move around so much but when they are almost over I can feel the fact that I get to move back home soon.

9. Warm Loving Arms
– Everyone should have a pair in their life especially when something has happened to make you upset. I know that there are always people that love me and are willing to give me a hug when I need it. It’s always nice to know that they are there when you need them.

10. A Multi-Tier Wedding Cake – Do single-tier wedding cakes even exist? I think in every wedding I’ve been to there has been at least two-tier cakes. I could be wrong though.

How Much is That Doggie in the Window?

March 5’s 10 Things to Be Happy About

1. The Early Morning Quiet – I love waking up in my home and no one else is up, including the dog and the house is just so quiet. When I was in high school, I was always the first one up because of school and the dog would barely move because it was so early. The house was so quiet sometimes that it was eerie but I really enjoyed being able to hear myself think before my hectic day of school started.

2. Staying Busy – While I like the quiet I also like it when there are things on my mind that I don’t want to think about then staying busy keeps them off of my mind. I really enjoy when I have a busy schedule when it is fun stuff but when it is stuff that I would rather forget and not do it’s not as fun to be busy. I enjoy being busy with some school work, while other work makes want to go insane.

3. Cathedral Crenellations
– I googled this and I couldn't find anything so if anyone knows what it is please fill me in!

4. A Place that Exists Only in History Books
– There are so many places in the world that exist only in books because they have been destroyed over the years. I love imagining the places that history books depict because it is amazing to know that there was a world out there before we even existed.

5. A Dog Nose on the Window – This reminds me of the song “How Much is That Doggy in the Window.” I learned it is a child and always loved to sing it with my mom. The only problem with dog nose on the windows is that you have to clean up afterwards. They are just looking out the window because they want some loving!

6. Shadows Traveling Slowly – It is fun to watch shadows travel as the sun rises and falls because they make such interesting shapes. Shadows at night are honestly creepy and they freaked me out as a kid and sometimes they still do if the right situation arises.

7. Delivering on Promises
– It is better to keep a promise rather than just letting it go because otherwise the people you consider your friends may not trust you or if it is them keeping the promise then you may not trust them. Keeping promises is always hard but it always ends up ending in a good way.

8. Apricot-Stuffed French Toast
– While I have not tasted apricot-stuffed French toast the regular French toast that my dad makes is absolutely delectable. I love coming home for the weekend from college just to have his delicious French toast with Vermont maple syrup from my grandmother.

9. Strong Tea
– As opposed to weak tea?

10. Making Lists
– This is only as good as if you follow the lists that you make. If you don’t actually do what’s on the lists then there’s really no point to making them anyway.

Paychecks!

March 4’s Ten Things to Be Happy About

1. Calming Your Mind – It’s better to be calm about something instead of freaking about it because in the long run you will be much better off. Also handling things in a calm manner usually keeps those around you from freaking out as well.

2. Clean Hands
– Well honestly who wants to have dirty hands because then everything you touch becomes dirty. I’d rather have clean hands than have sand, dirt, or mud all of over them. When you eat with clean hands you’re less likely to get sick as well.

3. A Romantic Weekend
– Getting away from everything that is going on around you is always a wonderful thing especially if you get away with the one that you love and they have an amazing weekend planned for you.

4. Colorful Painted Vans – These are really cool especially if you see them in random places such as school. I think that they should make everyone smile because they are something that someone else created and you never know when to expect them.

5. An Inspiring Biography
– There are many people out there who can inspire others and if you find the right biography for you there is someone out there that can inspire you.

6. Curling Up in a Chair
– I love doing this when I’m reading a good book. The library at school actually has comfortable chairs and I enjoy sitting and even reading school books, especially for my education class because it’s a good class that I’m actually interested in learning about.

7. Practicing Dance Steps
– I’m not a dancer but whenever I do have the chance to learn new dance steps it’s really fun because it takes a while for me to actually get them down. I enjoy dancing but I am not the most graceful swans on the lake.

8. Egypt’s Valley of the Kings
– The pyramids are an amazing site to see, not that I’ve seen them but I know people who have and they are worth the sea. The pictures are great to look at and the history is truly extraordinary.

9. Splurging on a Bottle of Wine – When you have the money to do this it is a wonderful thing. My grandfather had the most amazing wine collection and most of the wine is still down in the wine cellar. I love getting the chance to drink the wine at family functions.

10. Your Paycheck After Paying Last Month’s Bills
– After paying the bills any money in my account. I hate paying bills and I love getting paychecks, it makes me feel better.

State Parks

10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Your Favorite State Park
- My favorite state park has to be Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and it is truly amazing. I love seeing the mountains in the background and in the summer they are still covered in snow. The many animals that are around the park are always cool to watch especially when you are horseback riding.

2. Trail Steps of Railroad Ties - These are really cool to see because my grandfather works for the railroad.

3. Silent Surroundings - I love when everything around me is silent because it makes it easier for me to get work done along with falling asleep. Quietness is a wonderful thing but it can also be annoying.

4. Good Penmanship - Everyone says I have it which is a plus but I am also a ta so it really annoys me when I can't read people's work. I think that some people need to take lessons on order to improve their handwriting so that I can read it.

5. Bowling Balls - These are just fun to throw down the alley because you always feel better when you throw heavy things when you are upset. I love actually hitting enough pins to get me a high score which doesn't happen often.

6. Clinking of Glasses - Clinking glasses is something to make you happy because it usually means that someone is making some sort of toast. Also it could be a good thing because some people (including myself) are relaxed by washing dishes.

7. Aromatherapy and Massage - Massages are wonderful things and I love them so much. Also anything that smells good is a happy thing in my book.

8. Steak Tacos - I don't like red meat so this is really gross if you ask me!

9. Wood Smoke - Smoke from burning wood usually smells good. I especially love the smell of a campfire. It always leaves a good smell on my clothes that I can

10. Dress Rehearsals - I like these a lot because it's the few rehearsals where the director doesn't stop to talk to you forever and lecture you on what you are doing wrong. You go through the whole play and can get through it without the director freaking out!

Waves Crashing on the Beach

10 Things to Be Happy About

1. The Magic Curl of Waves
- They are truly mesmerizing and I love to watch them as they crash on the beach. It's so peaceful and I could watch the waves crash for hours on the beautiful beach that runs on for many miles.

2. Snatched Kisses
- Getting them from others when they least expect them is always a lot of fun because then you get to see the other person's surprised look. I also love when my boyfriend does it to me because I never see it coming.

3. Andrew Wyeth's Paintings
- I have to admit these are fun to look at especially if it is the real thing rather than some picture on the internet.

4. Catching Your First Fish
- I remember catching my first fish trolling but not my first fish ever. I remember how exhilarating it was to feel the pull of the fish on the other end of the line. Bringing it in was a challenge but it was worth it.

5. Internal Wisdom
- Because you never know what you're capable of thinking of.

6. Starting Motherhood
- I can't say that I know what this is like but I am excited to experience one day when I am ready for the challenge.

7. Long Winter Scarves
- These are a wonderful thing to have because they keep you warm in the winter. I got one from my best friend/roommate this winter for Christmas and I love it because it's soft and keeps me very warm on cold days.

8. Bengal Cats
- I love any cat so I guess that this makes me happy. The picture above shows that they look like cheetahs with their beautiful spotting. If I get a cat when I grow up I definitely would love to have one of those because they are truly a beautiful cat.

9. A Crazy Dream
- These make me happy except when I can't remember what occured in them which makes me sad. I like to know what is going on in my dreams. It makes it easier to understand what my subconscious is telling me sometimes!

10. The Costumed Characters at Disneyland
- I think these are always so much fun to take pictures with. I remember when I was little I had an autograph book that they would all sign and I thought that it was totally awesome when I had their autographs. I actually have a friend who graduated my freshman year of college that was actually scared of the costumed characters! I miss him but yea these things make me happy.

The Oscars!

10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Imaginary Lovers - Why imagine them when you can get the real thing all you do is look very hard. There is someone out there for everyone who wants someone else. This would make me happy if I didn't have someone in my life though.

2. Cushy Bath Mats - These are always soft and when you step in and out of the shower it's like a small foot massage. I love the feel on the bottom of my feet. The only problem if you get them wet they tend to get flat so washing them and drying them every once in a while makes them soft and fluffy once again!

3. Making Flash Cards - If they are going to help me pass a test of some sort they make me pretty happy.

4. Learning to Make Rope - I'm guessing this is some sort of Boy Scout thing. I guess learning how to make rope could be useful under some circumstances though so cool beans!

5. Stopping at a Bookstore After Work - I love bookstores and the smell of brand new books. Stopping at one after work would probably make my day especially if I had a bad day at work. I love reading so much that I like to sit in Barnes and Noble in the middle of the aisles trying to find a good book.

6. Rocky the Flying Squirrel - I love Rocky and Bullwinkle no matter how silly they are when I'm a grown up. They are truly entertaining because Rocky always has a plan and Bullwinkle is just a silly moose.

7. Sand Piles Covered with Snow - I think that almost anything covered in snow would make me happy. These would definitely be fun to sled down if they are big enough piles.

8. The Gift of Imagination - I learned recently that imagination dies in kids and the percentage of kids with good imaginations goes down as they grow up. A creative imagination leads to amazing inventions and kids with imaginations should be encouraged to use their imaginations to the fullest so they don't lose it as they grow up.

9. Practicing Something in the Mirror - When I was in high school our choir teacher used to tell us to practice our singing in front of a mirror. He told us that we should always watch our breathing because that is the most important part of singing, breathing from the right place so that the sound is right.

10. Anticipating Oscar Night - I know that everyone in my sorority was very excited for this and after a sisterhood they all sat in the house watching the Oscars and getting hyped up every time Inception won an award. Ah the rewards of being in a sorority and living in the house. I love being able to see lots of sisters all of the time. It's so worth it!

Selective Forgetfulness

10 Things to Be Happy About

1. Marrying Your Best Friend - I think that knowing that one can marry their best friend makes life easier because you get along with that person very well and you know that even though you fight you can work things out. It's like they said in Valentine's Day, you get along best with the person that knows you best.

2. True Romantics - I don't know if these exist but they are always fun to watch in the movies. I think that love can last forever but everyone needs to work hard at it and those people that end up getting divorced because of it didn't work hard enough to get there.

3. Quiet Faith - I think that it is better to keep your faith to yourself and to others that share your faith instead of forcing it on other people. For example, yesterday on campus there were people on campus that told us that Judgment Day was coming in May of this year and they said that we are all going to die because God hates us because we aren't good Christians. I don't understand why people would say that when the Bible says that God loves and forgives us all. Who do these people think that they are???

4. Selective Forgetfulness - I like to forget some things in my life and blocking them out is hard but I'd rather forget them then constantly relive them.

5. Practicing Forgiveness - I think that everyone needs to learn to forgive and forget. Everyone needs to forgive because holding a grudge takes too much energy. I try to forgive and forget that horrible things have even happened, it makes life much easier.
