March 27's 10 Things to Be Happy About
1. Having Fun During a Power Failure - In my family we light a few candles and play Michigan. It's a tradition since the power fails all of the time when we are the Bahamas and all we have to do is find a lantern or some candles and we're all set for the night.
2. Worry-Free Weekends - I wish that I had more of those in my life but with school, being in a sorority, and having a job on campus, it makes it really hard sometimes.
3. Breathing Mindfully - Does this mean that you are thinking about how you breath because it makes me happy when I do this in yoga because it helps to understand how to breath correctly when you are in certain poses.
4. Remaining Safe and Sane - Honestly I think it's good to be safe but most people are truly sane because everyone is insane in their own way. It doesn't really matter how normal people try to act, they are still insane in one way or another.
5. Stargazing - I love doing this especially if it is with someone who will snuggle up with me and just stare at the sky for hours. It just makes it seem like the world isn't around you and that there is just sky for millions of miles.
6. Art Museums - I can't say that I am a big fan of walking around and looking at art work but there are some people who can understand what the message is that the artist is trying to get across, which I think is really cool. I enjoy looking at the paintings and drawings but as soon as someone ask me to interpret what they mean I'm out of there.
7. Running in the Rain - And stepping in puddles along the way. I'm a huge fan of puddle stumping. I ran out in the rain in a white shirt once...it randomly rained...all I have to say is BIG mistake....HUGE!
8. Nighttime - It's just so more peaceful than the daytime when people are seriously freaking out about everything around them. While there are people who never sleep I love nighttime because it's a chance to relax and let everything that has happened that day to mellow in your mind.
9. Fizzy Science Experiments - Does anyone remember making volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar when you were younger. I played with that for hours in my best friend's kitchen sink. I think his mom got annoyed but I don't think that we really cared at that point. It will be nice to have kids to pass that little fun thing along to one day.
10. Selfless Love - You put your heart into and it might just get broken...while heartbreak hurts the best relationships come from selfless love.
